Those of you who are actively involved in the WordPress community as a developer know about GitHub and similar solutions. Sharing GitHub content on your site might be a good idea in some cases. Adding GitHub activities and gists to your website will be much easier when you have these plugins:
Gist GitHub Shortcode: lets you add GitHub Gists to your posts via a shortcode. Just add id and file name information, and you are set.
WP Xagithub Activity: a simple plugin that shows your latest GitHub activity on your site. You can choose how many entries will show and style the output.
Github Embed: allows you to embed information from GitHub in your posts and pages. It supports repositories, user profiles, milestone summaries, and contributors.
Github Ribbon: allows you to add a Fork me on GitHub ribbon to your website. Don’t forget to add the right URL in the backend.
Github WordPress Widget: this widget displays your list of repositories and the percentage of commits on your site. Just provide your GitHub credentials, and you should be set.
WP Github Commits: another plugin you can use to display the latest commits of a GitHub repository. It has a widget and template function with 5-hour caching.
