Time-Travel Publish: How to Backdate New Posts by a Random Number of Minutes

In the past few years, we have covered plenty of WordPress scripts that make your site more dynamic. You can even write code that back-dates new posts by a random number of minutes, so social bots and scrapers won’t be able to guess your publishing schedule. It helps big sites hide their editorial timing. Here is the code you will need:

Just add this to your functions.php, and you are set. This script makes your posts appear to have been published 1 to 24 hours earlier. It is possible to encrypt your offset, so even a database dump can’t reveal your method. It is also possible to modify this code to show different back-dates to different referrers and geographies.
