TurnSocial: Social Toolbar for WordPress

One of the most effective ways to get people to submit your posts to top social networking websites is by adding call to action or regular social media buttons to your website. You can always grab these buttons from top social sites and add them to your posts. Another way to do this is by adding a social toolbar to your website. Social toolbars are less intrusive and give you more flexibility as far as things you get to display on your blog. TurnSocial is one of those social bars that lets you give your visitors more ways to get in touch with you across social networking sites. It also adds local sites to your website to provide your visitors with more useful information.

In order to take advantage of this service, you are going to have to provide some of your social information to TurnSocial. That includes your Facebook page URL and your Twitter account. Of course, these fields are mostly optional, so you have some flexibility there. Using TurnSocial, you can give your visitors a way to keep track of a specific Twitter search feed right on your blog.

Depending on the type of website you own, your local information could be useful to your visitors (probably not the case for us). TurnSocial has a selection of local networks that webmasters can take advantage of to create a more powerful social toolbar.

The installation process couldn’t be any easier. You can either download a plugin to get the job done or grab the appropriate code from TurnSocial.

Once you have installed this toolbar, you are going to see the above footer-bar on your website. It will include the networks that you have chosen to take advantage of on your website. It’s attractive, dynamic, and keeps people on your website while they check your online profiles or use those other networks.

If you have tried Wibiya and are looking for something more compact (yet as effective), TurnSocial could be just the solution for you.
